Guardian Angels students and staff collaborated in the creative process of the mural, which depicts the evolution in thinking, problem solving, collaboration and technology in education.
To represent this concept, the painting shows a game where the students become “active pieces” trying to find “the answers” to a problem. This game symbolizes the active role that students take in their learning by being inquisitive and exercising critical thinking globally.
This learning process takes place in an open gaming space that represents the absence of boundaries in accessing information, questioning safely, communicating effectively and reflecting analytically.
The journey that Guardian Angels students embrace is the most important aspect of the game. Layers leading to the centre –“the knowledge” – represent it. This depth implies leadership promoting inclusivity, sharing different perspectives and making connections, realizing the responsibility of choosing the right path.
The Angels’ wings reflect the school’s Catholic mission – exercising the need to reach new heights and becoming agents of positive change.
